What are 1px differences?

When reviewing snapshots, you may encounter minor differences of only 1px in size. These differences often appear as isolated instances within a larger context.

How does it work?

Percy’s system is designed to overlook isolated 1px differences that occur within a 7px surrounding circle. If the difference falls within this range, it won’t be flagged as a visual change. However, this exception only applies to isolated 1px differences.

Why ignore 1px differences?

Through extensive testing and analysis of millions of snapshots, we have found that 1px differences are typically the result of unpredictable browser rendering quirks. By ignoring these minor discrepancies, we aim to enhance the visibility of significant differences and reduce noise in your builds.
